    Morning everyone

Smartie, you need to go out and get yourself a test that has a red/pink dye indicator......First Response, Superdrug own brand etc etc. A lot of people don't trust blue dye tests

I want you to get a BFP, I really really do as you deserve it just as much as the rest of us. I know you will

    _clarity.....congratulations on your BFP :T:T

kindofagril good luck this afternoon hun :T I'd like to see pictures when you come back down off the ceiling!! ;)

Still feeling meh this morning. Had a garlic pizza bread for my tea last night and no matter how much I brush my teeth I can still taste it!! _pale_ I'm very veiny too across my upper chest, noticed while I was having a shower last night, but I think I had this last month when AF was due

Also, I did a test this morning as OH is sick of me biting his head off and feeling really sick! I did it and it was BFN, but then I put it in an empty pepsi can thinking nothing more of it. I got it out to show OH and there was a TLP on it:eek:.........turns out pepsi can turn a negative test positive!!:o:rolleyes::rotfl:

  • Morning everyone

I feel a bit more positive this morning :) Not about our chances for this month though  I'll stay on the testing list (just because I like seeing myself on there :D ) but FF says my chances of conception are low as BD'd only 3 days before ov.

    - Looking forward to seeing pics later!! Hope everything goes well :D

Ooooo nunny, when are you testing again? That's funny about the pepsi thing, never knew that! Good for a practical joke :rotfl:

    _clarity - CONGRATULATIONS!!! That's great news :D

smartie - I'd be inclined to do another tomorrow, as 2:30am is kind of early for FMU I would think? Unless you didn't use the toilet before bed?

Glad we amused you confuzzled :D That is usually the case for me (pounce or he'll make sure I'm satisfied in some way ;)) but I think he was having an off day

Gymfiend - Do you have a scan pic?

Nikabella - Hope you're doing ok and not too stressed out.
  • Smartie! I found this, and think it *possibly* could be relevant to you because of your 2 positive opks :)

Can I get a positive OPK and then not ovulate? Yup! It is possible for your body to "gear up" to ovulate, leading to an LH surge-- and then, for some reason (such as stress, illness, travel, or random fluke), your body fails to release an egg. When this happens, your LH surge will dissipate and your cevical mucus (a signal of fertility) will dry up. Once the stress is resolved, your body will try again. This can happen more than once per cycle. Therefore, there is no way to be sure you ovulated, even if you had a positive OPK. OPK's are most accurate when used in conjunction with fertility charting (NFP or FAM.) That way, a positive OPK can be cross-checked with an increase in basal body temperature and/or cervical mucus dry-up.
  • Read back over that, and I should have added: maybe you didn't ovulate after the 1st +opk, but did after the 2nd? So you might be less DPO?

Awww thanks snugglepants for that info.... interesting stuff!

So going on the 2nd OV test - I got a faint positive at 6/7 dpo... is that possible:confused: (off for a quickie google:o)

Did have a google about evapouration lines... they can appear as a false positive if the test is read after a longer period of time BUT my line appeared within a minute or 2 so definitly not that.

And thanks nunny... I shall pop in superdrug to get some tests. The pepsi test made me giggle!!:rotfl:

SIL is coming to stay for a few days from tomorrow so not the greatest of timings:rolleyes: How I'm going to get on here without her having a nosey I don't know:mad:

Going to treat ourselves to the M&S meal deal today.... but I better not have any of the wine!!

Right well as I ewcm last night and again this morning I'm assuming my cycle has gone back to normal which would mean AF is due around the 10th. Phew! I much prefer those apples!

Just spoke to someone about that job and they said HR messed up the advertising of the role and they'd be willing to wait for the right applicant! So...I think I'm going to go for it. The person whom I'd be working for is going to call me back later with more info - it was someone else I spoke to before (even more senior!!).
