  • Morning all. Sounds good for some of you ladies, we need some more bfps asap...
Twinklie- why haven't you tested yet?!! Have you the willpower of Joan of Arc?! Some of us are dying to know what's going on! :p

Something very odd is happening here - what follows is TMI so don't read on if squeamish..
Its CD11 and my cervix is high and soft, I have *copious* ewcm (which I've never had in such, errm, abundance) I even checked it wasn't semen by doing the dissolve in a glass of water test (thanks MadMac for posting that!:money:) I have lots of other imminent ov signs (increased libido, cramping etc) Yet my monitor still says low  !!!!!!?!
The only thing I can think of is that my oestrogen rise was before the cbfm asked for sticks, does that sound right to any of you? Have any of you with monitors experienced this?

Seems I have no option but to continue to jump OH ;)

stickybabydust to you all ladies and hugs to you all. Again, if it weren't for you lot and this thread I would be [STRIKE]a lot more[/STRIKE] insane

  • I'm tempted to do a test, but after the doc telling me they are not accurate until 2 weeks after missed period I dont want to get a bfn when there's a chance it could be wrong. I feel different this month, but perhaps im just getting my hopes up!

Is that right? 2 weeks. I'll only be a week late on Thursday....should I wait longer before contacting the docs then do we reckon? ARGH....why is it not straightforward! How late are you money?

Thats 5-6 weeks from first day of last period isnt it? It confuses me how they measure it like that, when there no chance of actually being pregnant for the first couple of weeks after period..grrr!

So if I am pregnant now that would mean I am 4 weeks & 2 days.

I'm not yet...AF due today...dont feel like she's coming. After my awful experience last month my doc said hpt's dont give an accurate reading in every case until at least 2 weeks following missed period...I think that means if you get a bfn it could actually be a bfp but some women's hormone levels will not be high enough to detect at this stage. I think I read on here if you get a bfp within that time then you are lucky...and a bfp will be correct...no matter how feint!
  • That a load of bull they've told you money. It all depends on the sensitivity of them. The internet cheapies I have are 10mu, FRER are 25mu and so are clearblue easy. There's still a teeny possibility that your hcg levels might not be picked up but 2 weeks is a flipping long time to wait!
In the olden days hpts used to be over 100/150mu sensitivity but not now, now they're just as good as the doc's urine tests.. http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html

Edit to add: sorry you just posted when I did! :p
