Hi Glam, waters went at 4.30 am today, check up at hospital and home again by 8.30am. Just waiting for things to get going properly. Have to phone at 8am tomorrow for bed for induction if I am still here.

I had my apt today to see the obstetric anesthetist and it was very interesting indeed. She basicly went through my last birth which was good as we have never had anybody explain what went wrong. It turns out they were expecting us to complain and there to be a inqury, as there was 6 pages of notes all written in long hand and in great detail. They aren't worth the paper they are written on though as times and correct details have been embellished to cover themseleves. My hubby is medically trained and understands more than i think they bargained for. It made up quite mad really as When ds heart rate dropped suddendly it said that the MW knew it had gone down and was mointoring it how when noone came in for over a hr, the alarm on the machine and in my room went off and no one came, hubby had to run down the corridor shoutting for help which it did actually say that he called for help. Ds heart rate went below 30 but the notes said 60 the times were so wrong it said i was given a epidural at 12.30 yet i was already on the operating table under GA. Ds was a grade A EMSC and had to be delivered within 20 mintues or he would have had some brain damage we did not know this. GA is standard for grade A EMSC.

She basicly said just because that happen last time it doesn't mean it wouldn't happen again but it might. The difference being now for elective section most woman don't have an epidural but spinals which are more effective than epidurals as it is injected into the cerebro-spinal fluid not inbetween and no need for a plastic catheter to be inserted into the back like with an epidural. She said most go ok and she hopes there won't be a problem with me this time but lets see what happens on that day. Section would be at 39 wks she was taken a back when hubby asked if i would need blood thinning injections before and after the section she said yes i would have to come in the day before section to have one but hubby asked if he could do it at home so we didn't have to make a trip all the way to the hospital just for that and she said he could most likely do it if the anesthetist i will be having says he can.

She checked my throat and mouth to check it was big enough to fit a tube down if i did need a GA but as i had one before there shouldn't be a problem. I wil have to see a anesthetist again a week before the section to go over it all and make sure i am happy with a spinal.

why am i sooooo tired today. had a sleep for bout 90 mins before and i still feel shattered.

Me too Jillie. Been off all week and all I have done is eat and sleep. It's ridiculous. I'm off to the Doc tomorrow to get a prescription so will see what he says hopefully he will give me some miracle cure and I'll be bouncing around in no time.

Got a feeling it won't be that simple though.

Thanks for the update on Sugar Beenie, been thinking about her, great to know everything went well.
