Thanks for your kind wishes. Just been to the doctor after calling NHS Direct and I have high blood pressure, protein in my urine and a UTI!! At least I know I'm not going mad feeling so rough. The doctor was lovely- took my blood pressure loads of times in case it was a false reading and I am now on pre-eclampsia alert. Not that surprised as I have had high BP for years, and since I've been pregnant it's been the lowest ever. I suspected it would rise eventually so looks like it has. He's happy for me just to be checked weekly as I have no signs of swelling or headache, but if I get any other symptoms I have to go straight in. Have called in sick for tomorrow so will have a sofa day and do nothing (but take my anti-biotics of course).

can i ask what your BP readings were today.?
i;ve got existing high BP and have been having weekly checks already, but like you whilst i'm pregnant has been the lowest ever... but has started to go back up again and i;m getting swollen fingers. i'm at a drop-in centre tomorrow for a second check on my BP this week 'just in case'

Hi Glam, no,babys arrival wasn't mentioned once!! Although he did tell my brother that as yet he has no plan sorted to come back after he has gone back after returning DD to us in 2 weeks time. I'd be very shocked and suprised if he says he's thinking of coming over when Im due cos the way things were while he was here were dreadful-it was so bad,to avoid coming to blows, we (me and OH) were forced to spend all of our time up in our bedroom or out of the house. The thing is,if he does say he's gonna come over, I won't feel bad about being abit selfish and telling him Id rather he stay at his brothers..it's mine and OH's baby and we WILL NOT be forced up into our bedroom..couped up with a newborn!

  • Jillie it was 138/ 90 so not mega high, but it's been around 120/60 during pregnancy so higher than it's been for a while.

Glam- not sad at all. I was thinking yesterday that I haven't had brie or blue cheese for over six months. I can't wait to scoff some at Christmas!

Evenin' all. Think I pushed myself too hard yesterday at work, had horrible nightmares where I was in my office with people banging on the door to come in, screaming at me, I was huddled in the corner crying as I was working late and wanted to go home. It was horrible and woke up feeling quite upset.

Feel really tired tody, came home early and went to bed for half an hour, feel a bit better now but so glad I'm on a half day tomorrow, just hope haven't knocked myself out for my weekend away. We have booked a meal in a place called sketch in London, has anyone ever been, looks really posh, just hope i'm not in an awkward don;t know what to eat mood!

Sorry so many people seem to be having a hard time at the minute, it's hard to believe there are so many horrible selfish people around, maybe being vulnerable just makes it easier for you to be targeted as you're not expected to fight back. At my old house we had a man down the road who used to beep his horn when he went past our house if anyone was parked on the road. I had jsut pulled in the driveway when he parked outside my hoiuse and came over to give me an earful about my OH apparently sticking his fingers up at him. He was a very large man and very tall and got the shock of his life when I went absolutely crazy telling him to get out of my driveway and to go back home and stop ac ting like a kid. Bearing in mind I'm not even 5 feet tall probably wasn't sensible but he shut up and went. Never did hear anymore from him either!
