I am looking to see if i need to install new drivers before i buy this but i dont see why i should buy it as i have the crap Vista and they should have gave it free to us lot that have put up with Vista.

Why put up with it if you don't like it? There are alternatives, some of them free.

If you are getting or recently got a new pc some manufacturers may offer a free upgrade path from Vista, you need to check with there manufacturer like HP or Dell

windows 7 is great using it now, no problems on my laptop and pc didnt need any additional drivers either
