I believe childrens books don't come as quick reads, only adult books. I can't see anything stopping you buying a childrens book as part of your shopping and getting £1 off that way though.

There are childrens books written for world book day, and the back of the voucher displays their icon, I got some books (childrens) in Tesco and the say on the cover (printed) ...'£1.00 or free with World Book Day £1 coupon'

    Happy book reading xx

Thank you for this post Welsh Dragon. I ordered some for my brownies. Only thing is I feel guilty as not sure what to do with the posters or bookmarks or where / how to spend the vouchers :o.

It doesn't state on the vouchers that they can only be used for adult books it just says quick reads. Has anyone tried it on children's books?

My brownies were most chuffed with there sticker and a pen / pencil though and a rubber for there box :D .

Thanks again Welsh Dragon it was a great find.

Thanks from me too for this! :T

I've received my package of items today. I'm going to take them down to school later and give them to the headteacher.

I can't believe that people are using the vouchers to get money off their groceries.

Why not? To me its no different than people using (for instance) £1 off a box of washing powder when you haven't bought that washing powder. The way I see it is that if Tesco accept a voucher when you haven't purchased the item then who are we, as shoppers trying to save, to not do it. Tesco are most likely to claim back the £1 whether you have bought the book or not. Just my opinion :D

I can't find quick read books anywhere, have tried Waterstones, WHsmiths, Tesco and Sainsbury's.

Hi Charlene. IIRC an earlier poster mentioned that they had to ask staff in WHSmith's for the Quick Read books as they wasn't kept on the shop floor for some strange reason.
