Virgin Mobile Quidco cashback
Options
OH needed a new phone and found one she liked on a cheap £12 a month contract with virgin. Quidco offers £30 for a new contract through Virgin.
To my surprise it actually tracked and validated at £52, Happy days
Just thought i'd highlight it incase anyone was thinking of taking the Virgin

I am currently looking at changing providers and noticed that Virgin have £52 cashbank through Quidco on new monthly contracts. As far as I can see this includes their £8.50 (100 texts/100 minutes) tariff - (but this is for 18 months.) The phones that are free with it are OK too considering the price (Samsung g600/SE K700i etc).
I know you cannot guarantee cashback but if it tracks OK then this would work out at £8.50 * 18 months = £153. Minus £52 = £101. Divided by 18 months = £5.61 per month for 100 minutes/100 texts plus free phone.
The £8.50 tariff from Virgin is only until 3rd Aug I think.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO TAKE TIME TO POST COMPETITIONS

I've been trying to do just that for the last 24 hours. But they seem to have some technical issues as it won't take my payment online. I get right to the end, verify my card details, it looks like it's all processing and then I get asked to try a different card. Have tried with 4 different cards and no luck. On the phone they admit they are having technical issues with some sort of upgrade of their systems and very kindly offer to process for me over the phone, but then I won't get my cashback. Grrr. Really hope they manage to sort it out before the weekend. Has anyone else had problems? Or not?0

Grrr. It's still not working and the Quidco cashback is now down to £30.
On the plus, none of the Virgin staff I spoke to were aware the £8.50 deal was ending on the 3rd. They all said it must be a mistake on the website as there is no plan to pull it. And sure enough it's not the 4th and is still up there.
Virgin are supposed to be getting back to me re the on-line payment. Wonder how long to wait.0 -

Just to update on this... the CS people don't know what they are talking about. The £8.50 deal is now £10. Luckily when I phoned they let me have it for £8.50 as they had on their records that I've been trying to grab it for the last 2 weeks. No quidco though0
