ace way to get kids eating

We've used the superheroes technique for ages with our two (7 and 4) - the only problem is, when they ask someone outside the family for an Action Man sandwich (peanut butter & jam on wholemeal) or Barbie's scrambled eggs (with smoked salmon and cheese - pink bits, hence Barbie), they've got no idea what the kids are on about! Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you do criticise him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.0

:rotfl: Reminds me my little bro (who is nearly 14 now) used to call Robinsons Apple n blackcurrant squash.. "nanny juice" cos it was the juice my nan used to buy for us kids... it caught on and we all called it that the looks we/he used to get when asking for/offering this infront of strangers! :rotfl:
My niece (Nickis DD) calls it that now and it still makes me giggle... "nanny juice"!

Don't think Teletubbies would work too well - everybody knows they eat nothing but toast and custard!full-time-mum wrote:Love the superhero idea - I'm sure it would work for Teletubbies, Tweenies, Noddy etc for younger children too.

Ah, but even teletubbies have to eat other food to keep health - LaaLaa = Bananas, Dipsy=anything green, Po=Tomatos, Red Apples, TinkyWinky=aubergines, grapes, blackcurrants, purple sprouting brocolli
otherwise they go all washed out and pastel coloured.
Or beans on toast, cheese on toast, eggy toast, fruit and custard.... you get the idea....7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

now if only i could get my youngest to eat veg
he'd eat the chopped toms and baked beans in the "pile up" but wont eat any other veg ,well i do manage sneak in some spinach into pasta sauce sometimes but thats it ! he wont even eat potatoes mashed, boiled, nothing !!
will try the grating / blending into bolognese / pasta sauce and see if he goes for it ,but i doubt it lol0 -

yes, kind of.
my daughter who's 8 finds meats like pork and beef quite difficult to chew...
i try and blitz some of the meat in with the gravy in the blender just to get the protein in her!wading through the treacle of life!
