brilliant! So simple yet effective!!!I might try that with my 3.5 year old who isn't too bad, but I would like him to eat peas and even baked beans, without me having to hide them.
Power Rangers are his favourite at the mo, and think this could actually work!!!Cheers!!!Sept. grocery challenge = £500 (221.60 so far!;))0 -
everybody knows that the red power ranger needs peas for his superpowers to work!and where would yellow power ranger be without his superbaked beans to give him super strength.
crikey see it could work with any food /superhero combi0 -
Sounds great but has anyone got any ideas for teenagers ? I've got one who eats no fruit or veg and the only meat he eats is in a bacon butty!
I often wonder what he lives on! seems to be mainly toast, bacon butties and fishcake and chips. He eats biscuits, crisps and certain cake as well but thats about it! The rest of us eat quite healthily but I just cant get him to try anything new.Its a wonder he hasn't got ricketts or something!
Any suggestions welcome!Do what you love :happyhear0 -

When my nephew came to stay he said he never ate vegetables.
I said "ooh but you dont want scurvy do you? Sailors used to get that when they didnt get any fruit and vegetables"
He ate up his veg after that

Thats very true, I suppose I didn't have such a good diet as a teenager as I do now but I did eat fruit and veg! I just feel glad that he's eaten anything some days! He's 16, over 6ft tall, size 12 shoes but very slim and I feel he should be eating a lot more to sustain himself.
His diet yesterday consisted of 1/2 piece of toast, 4 bacon sanwiches, 1 instant noodles and 2 pieces of toast. He only drinks decaf coffee(no water).
Oh I forgot he also had 1 cornetto!
Is he the unhealthiest teenager in Britain??Do what you love :happyhear0 -
cant get my son to eat vegetables, always says, dont like that - how do they if they havent tried it???? apart from good old Sportacus in Lazytown (love that - god he's really fit!) he seems to be eating lots of apples lately!!
my other son is now 21, but he never ate veg, he's a big straping bloke now, and he is now starting to get more adventurous with veg, wont eat anything with onions in it, unless i cleverly disguise it!!! ha ha - will eat them in soup as they are blended!
make you laugh eh!0 -
taplady will he try drinking smoothies???
will he eat a veggie version of a bolognese / shepherds pie / chilli etc
if so puree some veggies into the sauce

when my daughter was 7,she was doing a topic on vikings at school. As part of this they made a viking "meal"....this was basically a very very basic casserole. However ,the kids thought it was great and ate up every single bit without moaning.
I now make "Viking Stew" on a regular basis.....But i get to shove loads of veg in and the children dont bat an eyelid.I also get them involved in the chopping up...they think its fantastic doing the leeks, spuds carrots etc (and saves me the job of doing it as well!)0 -
Superheroes.........what a good idea! I'll try anything
Yesterday I found a new way to make my 3.5yr old daughter eat her dinner. My son who is 19mths ate all of his cottage pie and when I got him down from the table he made his way around to his sisters plate and started troughing hers as well. Obviously she didn't like this and proceeded to eat it before her brother did - she'd asked to leave the table 5 mins before as she didn't want it! :rotfl:
I'm not looking forward to the teenager that only eats chips faze in a few years "all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0
