Excellent ebaying Julie. I'm a bit worried your house is going to be very empty long before you actually go!

I couldn't bring myself to part with any KGs! And these ones of yours are pretty, you are being very ruthless! I really need to start having a proper declutter but I get very attached to things.

When are you hoping to emigrate?, I'm sure its in your posts but I can't just see.

    Hi Tixy,

Ruthless is the key I've decided . The KG's are very pretty, but not sure they will fit in with my new beachbound lifestyle:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

The facts are we are pushing it to ship everything without it being extortionately expensive therefore we have to cut back as much as we can. There is no point shipping stuff to the other side of the world to not wear it/use it! It's a good chance to really thin out what you do and don't use (and hopefully make a nice little packet at the same time ;)).

We are hoping to emigrate end June 2012, but its all dependent on getting rid of the remainder of the debt:money:. Nothing like an incentive eh?!

They have just started 17 newly qualified midwives at the unit, so looks like there will be slim pickings in terms of bank for the next while, which might put a hold on my debt busting as funds to throw at debt will be limited, without the extra bank income:o.

Should be utilising the quiet periods on nightshift to do some letters re: HBOS overdrafts and making an attempt at settling them, but instead I'm off to list even more ebay.

Must carry on whilst full of enthusiasm...........its sure to die out soon :D.

A very productive and satisfying night on the antenatal ward. It all went t!ts up around 2.30am and I delivered 2 babies up there! Labour Ward was totally full and they just couldn't take my labourers:eek:!

After hours of hot packs, pethidine, gas and air, warm baths and bit of tea and sympathy my second lady got to fully dilated on the ward. The ward manager will have a fit - never mind;). I'm sure she thinks I do it on purpose :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. She then worked really hard pushing for 2 hours (first time Mum), then eventually when we had tried everything else, I took her to push on the toilet and out popped a baby :D. The Doctors had been trying to wade in with the forceps and ventouse for about an hour, and I just kept saying "go away no thank you. I'll call you if we need you..........but we won't".

I love my job. 2 happy and healthy Mums and baby boys (and a bit of embroidery to keep the midwife happy). Night night all:T.

  • How utterly wonderful. x

    :-)
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • What a rewarding job you have. Well done. Midwives (you are a midwife right? Forgive me if I have the wrong end of the stick) and nurses are some of the most special people in the world in my opinion.

I feel totally blessed. Not a bad way to spend a nightshift after all ;).

And both Mums went home 6 hours after their deliveries to their own beds and families. Everyone all round happy bunnies:D.

No action tonight as yet - only 3 patients on the entire ward:eek:. There are two midwives and one student...........as expected the student is doing the work:D.
