I know what my time is worth to me, but without knowing what I am saving half of, i.e. without knowing how much money I am saving, I cannot answer the question? :(

This question is complicated by the fact that the trains are so unreliable that it is always best to get on the first one that comes as there may not be another.

The time I would wait depends on how the saving compares to what I expect to lose in income.

Public sodding transport should'nt be more expensive at peak times they allege to want people on it then double the price when they need it, its no wonder every says b0ll0x to it I'm driving.

If there was a seat I wouldnt wait if it was standing room only I might wait but I doubt it.

that's a bit of an odd category i'd usually always wait 15 but never as long as 45 ;@)

also depends on how cold it is, actual cash saving, how much i've got on that day.... LOL

Chance to catch a train would be a fine thing LOL we have a very expensive heritage railway locally but my nearest useful station is Manchester and I always try to catch off peak £12 fares to London, full up fare of ove £100 means I drive.

If the company is paying then I am in the first class of the first train that arrives .. if I am paying then I may wait 15 minutes or so .. but no more.

It depends on the fare. If it was a £2 fare as opposed to a £1 fare then I would probably wait 5-15 mins. I often have to wait at least 5 mins for a bus so its not like I'm not used to it.
However if it was a long journey and the fare was £59 so half the fare meant I saved £25 for example then I would wait over 45 mins. I could always pass the time by getting an overpriced drink or something, after all I would have more than saved the money for that. :)
