Mine was delivered yesterday. Well the guy rang the bell, and before I could get to the door (in the tiniest house, so no distance) he was almost back in his van parked two houses down. My wine was plonked on the path in front of my door! This despite the instruction to leave in a safe place if I was out. He can't have known I was in, and I am semi-detached, so could have taken it round the side and left it behind the gate. My point being a box clearly labelled Virgin Wine left on full display to the world! If I had been out I couldn't imagine it would still have been there when I got back, must be costing Virgin a fortune! You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Still waiting for order after 6 days. Anyone know the best way to get a delivery refund after 7 days - do I have to complain via email or phone, or is it automatic?
Cheers

They have done this to me every time and my front door opens outward
Try getting your door open with three cases of wine the other side!.0 -

I have now waited 8 days so rang today to query it. Before I even gave her my details she asked if it was the warehouse wines. When I said yes she said it was delayed due to high demand and would be here middle of next week!! So that'll be 2 weeks delivery then.
She confirmed that the delivery price promise does not apply and seemed surprised that I was even complaining about the length of the delivery0 -

Oh Tony! Sorry, but had to laugh at the image of you forcing the door while trying not to smash wine on the other side!! Bet you needed a glass or two afterwards! :TYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

All wines arrived at last. One lot of the 1.99 sale stuff worked out at 1.30 a bottle; very quaffable rose and dry white is fine too. Another lot included a discovery case, free customer favourites case and another 13 bottles of sale stuff - as this included a regular case I got my delivery fee back for lateness after an email or two. This worked out at 1.70 a bottle after virgin radio code, egg money card 10 per cent cash back and the delivery refund. Wow. Thank you everyone. I now have a wall of wine in my shed! I printed out the tasting notes from the website for fun. :beer:0
