?Orange Mobile Internet

Looking for some advice - please.
I have a wi-fi laptop and would like to be able to access the internet while on holiday in Cumbria. I have an orange contract for my phone but dont want to pay a fortune just for those two weeks, it seem to be either £9.99 a month for 18 months or a ?£60 one off charge for a dongleto put in the USB port which includes some access. Sorry I am so "Un" clued up.

Any suggestions

Pointless buying a contract dongle for 2 weeks access. Use a PAYG one. But there are cheaper and better options than Orange. Look at Vodafone or 3 PAYG.But as advised above, check you can get a decent 3G signal where you are going, without which you will be on dial up speeds.

    Hi
Checked access, its fine for but if Vodaphone is cheaper would that not mean I would need to buy another phone because my current one is Orange? I have never used mobile internet so sorry Im so dim - I assumed you needed a phone to use the dongle but is this not necessary, can the dongle work independantly?

    Thanks M

It's nothing to do with your phone, the dongle plugs into your USB port and connects to the mobile network like your phone would.

Brilliant - so if the coverage is ok I could go for the £9.99 3 dongle. I thought I had to go with my mobile
