    hi Alan,
    this looks lovely :)

i'm interested in the Bette bath and hand shower shown here- presumably it was a steel bath?
what type of bath filler/hand shower option was that, and where did you get the bath from with the hole drilled there????

Thanks guys. The day when I can have a bathroom like any of the above just can't come quick enough. :D

White does seem very popular. I just have this nagging feeling that because our bathroom is small, it's just going to be too bright and intense if it's white. However I cant really imagine coloured units in there either. The units I'm leaning towards at the moment are the Rhoper Rhodes light walnut ones.....it's a much lighter shade than the normal walnut. But the only coloured ones OH reckons he can put up with  are the pearwood ones.

Dont suppose anyone has a pearwood bathroom they can post a pic of? :D

Ladybird...I suspect my OH might like to move in with you, I think your bathroom is the type of look he would like us to go for. It's very nice and fresh looking but is pretty much the opposite of the look I was intending going for. It's really good being able to see working bathrooms with people's own choices rather then just a set layout in a bathroom place. :T

We have the roper rhodes walnut, freestanding vanity wall cupboard and bath panels, they look really good, the floor is dark brown floorboard effect tiles, and the walls beige travertine look tiles. The bathroom is quite small-1.8x3m, with little natural light despite a large window, and its not oppressive, which I was concerned about-OH wanted really dark wenge units, I didn't!

My bathroom is smaller....2m x 2m so not sure if it could take it tbh.

Any chance of a pic? :D

We are going through the same thing with our bathroom. Luckily OH has left it pretty much up to me WHO HOOOOO although I am feeling the stress of making all the decisions lol

We have gone for travertine tiles (fairly light) an I'm hoping a dark wood furniture but we haven't got that far yet. My parents have a white tiles with the dark floor. I like it but like you I find the creams more warming. We ordered lots of tile samples from the net which also helped. Tiling in a few weeks so no pics until then. So exicted!

Sorry this isn't much help .... but an opinion.

Sorry, camera kaput at moment, so no pics :(
We don't have a lot of storage built in-just the vanity unit and cabinet on wall, so the wood isn't overwhelming. I suppose if you were having wall to wall units it may be dark, but we have a fair bit of empty wall and floor space-the bath and loo(normal loo, not back to wall) are down one long wall, with the vanity beside the bath on the short wall, so basically one long wall free with radiator. There is only the 2 of us though, so we can cope with less storage, its still more than we had before-the vanity unit can hold a fair bit. The walnut is a really nice shade though, not really dark, but richer than beech or maple iykwim?
Sorry if thats completely unhelpful :(

Loads of pics of pearwood bathroom furniture via google and some walnut

The bath was a Bette Starlet Supersteel - no tap holes 180 x 75, the hole was drilled by a specialst company (the bathroom showrooms usually have the facility to arrange this).

Bristan Prism thermostatic mixer with built in diverter and Spout.

    Cifial Techno Deck shower set.

This was then all pumped using a Stuart Turner Showermate pump sited under the bath on rubber damping pad.

The room was gutted, including a new ceiling, fitting new water tanks in the loft to cope with pumped showers and re routing the soil stack to move the w/c.

Entire supply and fit was £11K. 5 years ago.

We've just come across a range that has a door that we both quite like. It has a horizontal graining rather than the usual vertical and is in a very light oak so seems fairly modern but still has warmth iyswim.

However, the range is Venetian and the units are only 15mm thick compared to 18mm that the other ranges do. I really dont want to waste my money but I'm wondering if thicker carcases are important in the bathroom? They do taller wall units than some of the other ranges (810mm compared to 575mm or 720mm ish) but their plinth is huge at 250mm compared to the rest at around 150mm/180/200mm. Not sure if it looks a bit weird with such a deep plinth, but it would actually suit my soil pipe better.

    Thoughts on quality please?

Hi..ours is a new build so pretty much white! the walls are tiled by the bath from bath to ceiling and the rest is just painted white walls, the tiles have a thin line of blues going through which are nice but i love changing things so not much choice, this is good in dh's opinion lol. We had the floor changed to a pale blue water droplet one which is very cool and really nice underfoot!
We have a pearwood kitchen and as much as i love our kitchen it is not something i would put in the bathroom tbh, it is quite hard to match as inbetween beech and oak and maple! If i got a new one it would again be white with the oak or walnut type units and then ide be able to have towels and accesories in every colour of the rainbow|!!

One question is and sorry for highjacking but we have our bath in the same kind of position as pic.. alan m where the shower is in that pic we have a built in unit as such which is just storage really but i was wondering if there is a reason for it being there?..does it hold anything as the taps etc and shower (which is in the bath) are under the bath, pipework etc.

    Thanks
