Problems Upgrading With Virgin Online

Hi All,

Im due to fly from London Gatwick to Las Vegas on Monday 23rd November Returning Monday 30th November and when I check my booking it says i can upgrade to Premium Econemy for £179 on the return leg and 224 for the out going leg, well I thought it would be nice to fly back premium econemy so I try and book it then says The upgrade you selected is no longer available. Please select your desired upgrade from the options below

It then says I can upgrade Outbond for 224 of the full trip for £404 well hang on if my upgrade home is unavailable then where or earth are you going to sit me if I upgrade the whole trip ? So there must be seats available as if I click on the full trip it takes me to a page where I need to pay the extra. Anyone else had this problem ?

"Unavailable" and "we won't sell it to you" are different things.

Yes but why dont they want to sell it to me do they just want me to upgrade my whole trip instead an earn them more money, if that is the case they should just say upgrade your while trip and not advertise each way on the booking page

Everytime I fly back home from Vegas , they advertise Premium Upgrade for $250 at checkin . this has happened 6 times now

call them - sometimes speaking to someone gets you a lot further than dealing with a website.

I must say I would snap up the return upgrade for £404, sounds a bargin. Strange that it is so cheap, usually Prem books up quickly so no need to discount
