Thanks for that! Can't get on the flybmi website at the moment as its down, but those prices look fantastic.

Unfortunately we have already booked to go to Sharm, rest of family wants a resort type holiday near the beach, etc to relax. And the situation in cairo is quite unpredictable, even though it is reasonably safe at the moment if you avoid the protests.

Still, wish I hadn't seen that post lol, cos I really wanted to see the pyramids myself.

Plenty of daytrips and 1-night trips to Cairo from Sharm. L-o-n-g trip by road but cheaper than the fly-in trips.

I can find flights for £70-80 pp.

There are 5 of us so that isn't too bad but then we need to find a guide and driver, and its kind of hassle.

If we do it there, I have read it is about £125pp which is too expensive for us
