Hi guys,

Off to Skiathos in a couple of days and promised to pay my hotel fee in cash, so I'm wondering where would be the best place to get the best possible exchange rate would be?

Thanks!

    Victoria Street, London?

I just used the MSE online FX comparer and a company called Best Exchange will give me exactly 500eruos for £439.56.

    That a good deal?

With the right card cash from an ATM is cheapest.

You're a bit late to order from one of the online places and get it delivered to you.

Possibly Travelex pay on line and pick up at the airport - if they serve yours

Cheers Richard. It's £1 more expensive than Best Exchange... But £2 getting to Regents Street and back via Bus will cost over anyway, so I'm just gonna go with your recommendation, thanks man (Vic st is down the road)!

Will look into the Travelex card and let you know, thanks!

It's not a card I had in mind. You order and pay for the currency online and pick the cash up at the airport on the way out. The rates are much better than you would get just turning up at the airport.

You're talking about the Travelex cash passport card seen here?

If so, what is the exchange rate like?

Can I transfer any remaining monies left on thecard once I get back from holiday? For e.g. if I load it up with £200 and spend only £100, can I easily (and for free) transfer the remaining funds of £100 back into my bank account?

    Thanks.

No I'm not talking about the cash passport card.

I'm talking about getting actual euros from them, in cash, in your hot sticky hands.
