Right guys, its payday tomorrow, and I am determined to get some action on the go with the finances.

Not as much is being paid off just now cos we are saving spending money for vegas (paid with Tesco Deals, only £800 for 2 ppl, 10 nights at the mirage!)

but I want to re-earn the money that I am saving iykwim, and not be out of pocket.

    tasks for Friday...
    1 - pay £237 onto CC
    2 - £200 into vegas money
3 - transfer £120 for shopping. when deliveries arrive, transfer money back in, any leftover at end of 4 weeks onto CC
4 - meal plan for week and list shopping
5 - find driving license and book test
6 - check elec and gas meters to make sure they tally!
7 - hunt for mystery shops
8 - do a few surveys on toluna
    9 - dooyoo reviews

I know thats alot, but alot of this has fallen by the wayside, so I need to catch up and make sure Im not being silly!
wont have the CC paid by valentines day I dont think, but I will have it done by the end of feb so only 2 weeks out of my goal.

Cant technically overpay the loan so I will be putting the money into savings every month until I have enough to pay it off. I actually only owe them about £6k if I pay them now, and this will go down every month by a tiny bit too, so I am hoping to have enough saved by halloween.

Then its the mortgage. Ideally want this paid by the time Im 30 (5 years) Thats 20k a year. whew!! although when cc and loan are gone, thats £400 a month extra which I will set up as an overpayment each month, only need to find another 15k a year lol

any suggestions for challenges to join that would help me out would be great!!

sorry for the waffling! will straighten out the finer details while im off work tomorrow! x

  • Sounds like a good plan ! Im so happy for you with the overdraft and nearly the credit card you have done so well !

Sadly my overdraft is still there because I havent really been feeling the urgency to pay it off at the rate I was last year, mostly because I want to be able to have a life as well as work. Its also partly because the other place I work hasnt had the hours to give me the last few weeks so my income hasnt been as good this month.

Just did one of my mystery shops, didnt get great service, but earned a fiver so it was worth it!!

just have to complete my forms and head into town for another one! Bout to make a sandwich so that I dont end up buying myself lunch.

Got Mr T delivery yesterday, and am going to do a fair whack of cooking today. also going to chop and freeze some onions that are looking a bit worse for wear so that I can use them next week. I reckon I wont need to get any shopping next week other than fruit. that would definately be good!

have joined a couple of challenges as you an see, 3031 by world cup day and 11k by xmas. big targets but I have been exceeding my expectations so far and am happy to work harder to get there quicker!

  • At the moment I need to be ready to drop everything if shifts are available for work so I wouldnt want to have mystery shopping booked (or however you do it lol) as im pretty sure there are deadlines to meet with reviews.

Mr T's is Te5co lol, just an abbreviation that I use! sorry about that!

yeh there are deadlines and stuff but they are quite lenient. I do most of mine on weekends or after work, get takeaways and stuff sometimes which is great cos they free!!

Joined the A-Z of prizes challenge and am off the starting blocks with an R for Rimmell mascara! how exciting!!

not made any more payments but have done a couple surveys so they will be paying out soon!
