PAYG Sim, best deal???

HELP!!!!
What is the best PAYG sim deal at the moment?
There are so many I'm getting really confused.
I text rather than talk but do need to make calls on my mobile to let my family know when I have arrived at work (I work nights!)
I do not need to change my handset as I am happy with mine.

Tesco Mobile PAYG lite or Asda Mobile. Texts 4p and calls 8p per min, both to any UK mobile network or landline.

if you just txt most of the time this is a good one. depends if you have got a 3g phone though

I have just got a vodaphone PAYG and its 20p a min and 10p for text, can I get an Tesco SIm and port my number? or is there a better way of getting vodafone cheaper. Also which network do tesco use

Yes you can port your number or get a Free sim from Tesco.

Tesco piggy back on O2.

Asda use vodafone - 8p min calls 4p per text. Sim only cost 47p. Bargain.

Don't see any advantage in Tesco Lite over Asda other than choice of O2/Voda as same call costs but Tesco GPRS is 400p / MB and Asda is 20p.

However, have just moved to Tesco triple your credit which is sufficiently different that it could be better for people spending £10 pm+ on Asda mainly to less than 5 numbers.
