Tim and I have just been invited away for a long weekend with all our mates! I'm so excited! It's in October, and we are going to Snowdonia. We have always wanted to do something like that, but never got round to organizing it, but now someone else has organized it. It's going to be so fun! October is a very busy month - we are going away with my parents at the beginning of the month, then our friend is getting married, and then we are away for the weekend at the end of the month. How great! I'm so excited, can you tell!

Flying - not done any, better get on with some!

    HHC at 12:35 anyone???

Shopping delivered and put away. I ordered some pork chops - I found them before I opened the bag, the smell was horrendous. Dated today and definitely on the turn. Anyway, rang up and they are refunding them and giving me £5 off the next shop. It's a shame the bin men have just been, they'll be out there for two weeks now. If anyone sees a black wheelie bin running away it'll be mine, trying to escape the chops!

Absolutely chucking it down with rain but very warm.

    New Weekly Challenge...
    1. clear out bedroom drawers
    2. [STRIKE]reply to family history queries (emails)[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
    [/STRIKE]3. spend a good couple of hours in garden - pot up broccoli plants/[STRIKE]tie up toms[/STRIKE]/feed pots/[STRIKE]deadhead/[/STRIKE]sort fairylights/pond filter/lift onions/plait garlic
    4. [STRIKE]write at least 1 letter to friend(s) (snail-mail)[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
    [/STRIKE]5. gloss paint stairs

My M.A.C.A.W challenge this week is..............
to carry on HH daily walk from last week & nibble grapes/strawberries instead of biccies
Having some lunch now, then outside in the garden if it doesn't rain.

Am also trying an evil tactic with DS & DD. They are supposed to do their own ironing, but it has been piling up for at least three weeks now despite me [STRIKE]nagging[/STRIKE] requesting politely several times. They both just take stuff off the pile unironed & leave the rest lying about, falling on the floor. So I have hidden both piles. Eventually they will have no clothes to wear & I will win smiley-devil07.gif

    Lovely poem Swinstie - thankyou
Dusty - hope your moat doesn't return
Mudders - any news on Stripes?

Oh Toots and I'd like a Monday star now please when you have a moment. I have mopped the kitchen floor.

I've also pottered a bit in the garden and dead headed the roses as it's green bin day tomorrow and there was a bit of room left in there.

I may nip out this afternoon and do the ruby wedding present as well. I have the urge to make a port pie so will need to get the ingredients. This will be after I've smoked myself some salmon for lunch...

    [STRIKE]1. Do feet[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]2. Dead head roses[/STRIKE]
    3. Organise car MOT
    4. Cheque to accountant
    5. Buy present for BFU Ruby wedding on Saturday
