Just skimmed through the list
Mudbath – glad stipes is not too badly hurt
Mummyof5 - congrats on your new arrival
Toots – your list sounds fab and not boring
Valli - sorry about the job
Right I'm just going to do a few bits and pieces that need doing and then an earlyish night for me...March 2016 - £178,914.59; July 2017 £146,160.38
Mortgage end Sept 2043; Target - pay off by March 2022, now Sept 2021
Target balance July 2018 £112,5600 -
Lady-Liberty - I hope you're going to share your list with us too. We might be able to help your achieve some of your wishes!
Valli - sorry you haven't heard about the job. It's extremely rude of them not to get in touch with you. Even if you haven't been successful they should have let you know. Just remember it when they're begging you to work for them some time in the future! Anyway, now you've done your CV and been thinking about it, you should be in a good position to apply for other jobs, so keep looking.
I haven't done much walking today, and am still trying to finish the stuff I need to write for the dublin job!0 -
Tiddles has lost it.... Singing earlier at school they must have been doing 'summer songs'..
'she was afraid to come out of the oven..
She was afraid she would get a disease'...
She was either rather muddled or has seen inside my oven :eek::eek:
And.. brightspark here...
turned on the oven to do dinner...
Then out potatoes in a pan and savoury mince in another pan and wandered off.. returning half an hour later to a house filled with smoke... and wondered why.. I opened the back door and turned on the extractor and closed the door to the back room so the smoke would go elsewhere... and wandered off for another 15 minutes...
On my return I noticed the oven was on.. so I opened it (and turned it off!!) and inside has been the remains of DS1's GF birthday cake from Saturday... it is not only incinerated.. but the icing had melted everywhere, the jam had bubbled and burned itself to everything.. the cardboard cakeboard was black and curly and the teatowel that was covering it that used to be pale blue is... brown...

Evening all!
Sorry I didn't get on here after yesterday morning. I didn't manage to do my final thing on my list (handwashing) as I was out all day and when I got home, I found the place in chaos! OH decided to install the dishwasher in the kitchen and take the washing machine out to the garage (involving installing plumbing out there and emptying the entire contents of my neatly organised under-sink-cupboard over the kitchen floor). When I tried to ask what he was doing, he told me that I shouldn't have come home as I'd said I would be out all day, and that I was in his way, so I went up to bed for a sleep. I've cleared up the kitchen today, although I do need to reorganise the under-sink-cupboard again as it's still all over the place but in the cupboard.
My Mum managed to take up the trousers for Thursday for me, and I've just tried them on and found a pair of shoes that I haven't worn for ages that go with them (cue panic-stricken search for said shoes as they haven't been worn since we moved in October, and I couldn't find them). In my search, I have reorganised my wardrobe so that I can see everything more clearly, and also have had OH empty the hoover as it wouldn't suck up again, as I discovered more remains of his DIY in the coat cupboard buried under shoes - has all been tidied and hoovered out now. Oh, I also managed to make a lasagne for dinner tonight, which was really yummy, after a day with Year 6, doing sports day (2 hours of showing them how to do press-ups, sit-ups, tricep dips, lunges, bicep curls etc this morning, and standing out in the sun this afternoon doing toilet trips with various children whilst they did the proper races).
Oh dear, just realised I've been talking about myself again (well a lot of it was flying related). Personal mentions time:
Happy birthday to Soappie - I hope you've had a fantastic day.
Hugs for mudbath and stripes - hope tomorrow's op goes well and she can chase cats again soon.
Fingers crossed for valli and her job - hopefully they're just finding it hard to make a decision and will let you know that you got the job tomorrow.
Mrs Kevin Jelly (Helen Jelly now married) I'm so glad that your big day was so successful.
greenbee congratulations on getting the cake done in time and I'm glad your brother and SIL had a great time.
toots thank you for sharing your wish list with us - I see you've already had some offers to help with some of them. Hopefully I can help with one of them (meeting flyladies), as I'd love to meet you too.
LadyL :hello:hope we can meet up for a coffee or a cold drink soon. I feel I didn't get to chat to you much at my birthday BBQ as I was so busy trying to be a good hostess and serve everyone drinks etc. If there is anything I can do to help with your wish list let me know too.
Mummyof5 congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter.
Apologies to anyone I've missed - brain is a bit tired now and I'm doing it from memory. I'm teaching tomorrow - hopefully indoors as I'm a bit pink too.Dinner at MIL's as it's Tuesday, so no cooking. :j
Night all, and keep up the good flying!

Ah I'm with you now. In my line of work ID is classed as passport or drivers licence and not a birth certificate.
