I keep on getting badgered by these f*ckwits.
I'm registered with the TPS. Anyone know how to complain. Its really f'ing me off.
Edit:
I have complained on the TPS website.
Has anyone had any feedback from their complaints?0 -
I keep getting these jokers calling me at about 09:05, and 18:05 every day.
There's a postal address which you can contact, here:

Blowing a loud whistle down the phone seems to do the trick of them not phoning back again. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

What about the 'halfway house ' approach?BexTech wrote:Blowing a loud whistle down the phone seems to do the trick of them not phoning back again.
"I'm sorry, I'm a bit deaf and am having trouble hearing you. Hang on, I'll turn my amplifier up."
At this point, press the button on a personal attack alarm held close to the mouthpiece and shout, "Sorry about the 'feedback'. That keeps happening!"Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
The problem is that these are voice activated automated calls.
I guess they rely on simple speech recognition. There seems to be a set of yes/no questions. So unless you can whistle a tone to break their hardware (like shattering a wine glass), they just keep on calling. :mad:0 -

The best one I heard (urban myth perhaps) went something like this :-
"Last night, the phone rang as I was sitting down to my evening meal, and as I answered it I was greeted with "Is this GobsonStewt90?". Not sounding anything like my name, I asked who was calling. The telemarketer said he was with The Rubber Band Powered Freezer Company or something like that. Then I asked him if he knew 'Gobson' personally and why he was calling this number.
I then said, off to the side, "get some pictures of the body at various angles and the blood smears", turned back to the phone and advised the caller that he had entered a murder scene and must stay on the line because we had already traced his call and he would be receiving a summons to testify in this murder case.
I questioned the caller at great length as to his name, address, phone number at home, at work, who he worked for, how he knew the dead guy and could he prove where he had been about one hour before he made this call.
The telemarketer was getting very concerned and his answers were given in a shaky voice. I then told him we had located his position and the police were entering the building to take him into custody, at that point I heard the phone fall and the scurrying of him running away.
My wife asked me, as I returned to our table, why I had tears streaming down my face, but I couldn't tell her for about fifteen minutes. My meal was cold, but it was the best meal in a long, long time."

I was lucky when I had them, I found out who it was and made a macro to report them to ofcom every time I had a silent call.
They were not happy about it but the calls have stoped.

I just had a call from phone number 08450554454 which indeed belongs to Kitchen Direct. I hung up on them without saying a word. It was tempting to insult them or at least be rude but that approach might backfire. I wonder how they get your number. Do they just dial any number randomly hoping to get you hooked? Anyway spam call are here to stay I guess.0
