Omnia HD deals
Options
hey all
Im currently considering getting a Omnia HD as my next phone (from my N80).
Have you guys seen any good deals around ? Probably the best deal I have found so far is
(direct from orange.co.uk)
£42.09 Racoon 45
12 months
900 anytime mins, 500 texts, 200 mins to uk landlines
(is this not included in the regular mins or are these extra on top?)
free phone
I probably wont use all of these minutes but if you factor in the cost of the phone (£300 low average on ebay) and if you can get £50 cashback from quidco or topcashback, this deal doesnt seem too bad to me or am i missing something ?
What do you guys (and gals) think of this ?
I might also phone up orange to see if i can bully them into including data into the price as well or would you guys go about this a different way ?
cheers

Orange appear to currently have an exclusive on the Omnia HD (which Samsung now calls the i8910HD - so confusing!). The deal you have described looks quite good.
Before you buy, you might want to read this article by an AllAboutSymbian writer who bought an i8910HD:
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/item/A_weekend_away_with_an_Orange_i8910.php
Apparently Orange have messed around with the firmware and removed some of the valuable features from it (A-GPS being one of them) - for me the Orange logo on the back is already a deal-breaker and the software crippling just makes it worse.
I suggest waiting and seeing if you can get an unbranded i8910HD as it will certainly be more capable than the Orange version.0
