Got my 3 kids O2 P+G sims so they can be on the "family package". Family seems to be working BUT I'm trying to sort out the following issues and O2 cust service for P+G was spectacularly not answering my questions.

I have such good experiencewith the scottish iphone arm that I'm really miffed. THis gent was of indian origin (is the P+G arm outsourced?) and just didn't seem to be able to answer my questions- well not the questions I asked (thoughh is english was fine, I just think he didn't understand as I wasn't asking what was on his "script").

I need to know:

1- DS tells me all his 300 texts expired in 1/7 after starting to use SIM end june. THat is neither 30 days from SIM purchase or 30 days from SIM activation so why have they gone and will they put them back please.
His reply "we can reset the anniversary date on the account" .......Huh??

2- I want to set up web top up and monitoring of use (like we used to have when they were on virgin).
"We can certainly do that for you- if you top up £7.50/month by web you will get free internet too"
Errrr noooooo!! With the "family bolt on" the spend will be a few £/month only, I want to be able to top up as and when I want by and amout I want and they are kids, I do not want them to have "free internet" I want them to have phone they can call/txt with (call me luddite and OK the 15yr old would be fine but what the 13yr old would get up to unsupervised who knows:rotfl:). He just didn't seem to understand that I wanted a real P+G account ie put money on, spend it when ever and then put more on- if the answer if "no you can't do it with that tarrif" then fine but the reply was such a shot in the wrong direction is was hillarious.

So I'm going to try popping into a store to see if that will work- I had to do it to try to set up the bolt on, which, despite being very advertised isn't easy to actually do on the site either!

His English should be fine considering he will be from England.

The texts expiring, could it not be that he has used them all up? Resetting the date would mean he gets a brand new allowance.

Don't think you can monitor PAYG, I know you can view your details on your online account but I don't think you can see calls and texts like an itemised bill. Nope, just checked and you can't, you can top up though.

Yeah, you don't need to pre-register cards for O2 Web Top Up anymore, you can just top-up online on o2.co.uk. The website says you can only have 1 credit card associated with a maximum of 2 P&G accounts though. So that may cause a problem unless they are willing to bend on it.

As for the monitoring, no, there is no provision for this on P&G with the online services. Perhaps CS can give you a printout of calls and texts as a special request on an ad-hoc basis, but they will probably charge if they can do it, also it's hardly self-service and instant.

you can set up accounts via https://www.o2.co.uk/login?sendTo=https://myo2services.o2.co.uk/dashboard/selector and check on the amount of credit and any bolt on allowances left but you can't see any texts/calls made
