    :hello:Finally got on here!

    Good afternoon all!

mummysaver - Just read your post after posting mine - your OH sounds lovely, I'm so pleased for you!

bargainbird - hope the Christenings went well and that you all have/had a lovely day.

Halight - Hope the medical wasn't too stressful....You should have taken the twins, the medical would have been over in a couple of minutes :D

Squiggly - Lovely to see you back, and CONGRATULATIONS! It's great that you have a job lined up as well. Have a lovely Graduation day! My DD1 has just got her degree (a 2:1 as well) but her ceremony isn't until October. She did "Childhood Studies" but hopes to do social work eventually. Is there a post-graduate route, do you know?

redruby - Glad you feel better today, but try to take it easy.

Penny_Pincher - Sorry you had such a painful night - hope the nurse was able to help you. (((HUGS)))

JackieO - What a lovely way to spend an evening!

NPM - I can only echo what Marie said.

grandmasam - Bet you can't wait to see the video! LOL at the Mynah bird - did it look confused when you spoke to it in English?

Bargain Rzl - Glad you had a lovely (if damp) day with your Mum!

Not a lot happening here today. Went to church this morning, and have done 2 loads of washing this afternoon - it's been waiting for a dry day :p - it's all stuff of mine, and how I'm going to get it all into the wardrobe I can't think - DH says he'll empty the suitcase we took away with us (it's still got some clean clothes of his in it ) so I can put some Winter clothes in that, but atm I don't think either of us has the energy to work out what to do with his clothes when they've been taken out of the suitcase:rolleyes::D

Dinner tonight will be turkey and ham pie from the butcher's, potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli. Not sure what tomorrow's will be, but there's some mince and some sausages in the freezer so will have a think later. Or possibly in the morning. I read the other day that at 4 p.m. 80% of us don't know what we're cooking for dinner, which I found immensely comforting!

Hellooooo! I'm very late on here today due to children taking over the computer and that fact that I've done virtually nothing today :rotfl: and I've enjoyed it thoroughly! I swished the kitchen & bathroom and did the ironing. Tea was soup & a sandwich so an easy day :T I must get into the habit of doing this once in a while as it recharges my batteries but I feel so guilty  I din't know why as the rest of them don't do anything extra when I'm not - it just gets left for me to deal with tomorrow  Oh well, such is life.

Pen Pin Big hugs & love to you xx

NPM You are a total star & your DS is lucky that he came to you :A

Halight Hope the medical went ok and they'll finally sort you out. I'm another who thinks you should have taken the twins :D

    Squiggly Congratulations!

That's it for now I'll have a gander round the board then settle down with a good book this evening I think before getting back to the grind tomorrow :p

Thank you all for congratulations - it's lovely to be back & feels like coming home again...

Ivyleaf - congrats to your DD too!!!! Yes, there is a postgrad route, through the MA (or MSc depending on the Uni) in Social Work. Not sure of all the ins & outs of funding, althoughI do know postgrad students are still entitled to a bursary of around £3.5k per year, plus income-assessed bits too & tuition fees paid. If she looks at the gscc.org.uk website, she can link through to bursary application packs which give loads of info. I'd recommend it :) It's been challenging but also really interesting & I just love the fact that it's a "people" job.

Mummysaver - how exciting re the shiny new OH!!! (I still live in hope...)
NPMummy - I too smiled at the MJ story; you sound like you are doing an amazing job there...
Sunnygirl - battery recharging is very important....

Had a lovely roast at my mum's - I made peach upside down cake for our pudding. Scrummy :) Now back home & after being taxi to DD in a minute I am meal-planning for the rest of the week. Especially as I am very guilty of being one of the 80% at 4pm most days currently....
