Porting a number Orange -> xxx -> Orange

My current 12 month contract with Orange has come to an end.
The best cashback deals for my usage profile are all for new Orange contracts.
In the past this has also been the case, so I've ported my number out from Orange to another network's PAYG, then immediately requested my PAC from the PAYG and transfered back in to Orange.
Is there any reason why this won't work again? Maybe because Orange won't accept back a number that left so soon ago, or maybe because the PAYG provider won't let you leave for x months?
Basically is there anything to watch out for taking this approach?

You should have no problem at all. I believe they can't refuse you back (and I don't think they'd care any way). Just find a network that let you port back out as soon as poss and you're sorted...0
