ICICI Hi Save

Please could I have feedback on the HiSave account that pays over 5% interest. I am nervous about investing with a company I know very little about.

  • Very mixed, many users have found no problems at all while others have had no end of trouble!

Personally I've had several issues with incorrect & late transfers.

I had no problems opening the account or tranferring money in (admittedly only a small amount as per the advice on this forum). I haven't yet tried to transfer money out.

Opened an account with £1 last summer with no problems, but did not use them as I had a better savings rate elsewhere (Cahoot intro).

Tried to log in today in order to deposit money but user ID has expired. On phoning it will now take them 7 - 10 days to re-activate. This seems hell of a long time to me.

Apparantly you have to use the account at least once per month in order to keep it active.
