Both Things are easy to install yourself. The first is an electricity monitor, that monitors the amount of electricity you arwe using per day.
You have 2 units, a battery opperated wireless transmitter, and a mains powered reciever
You put a small clip from the transmitter around one of the electricity wires under your meter. You then put the reciever somewhere around the home and it tells you hosw much in £ etc you are using.
The other thing is a multipal plug adapter. You can set it to your tv remote, so you can switch everything off with one button of your existing remote. I think it also has a feature where when you turn off the tv, it will automaticly turn off the other things connected such as VCR or DVD palyer. This could also work with the computer. Saves loads of power!
I worked out that im saving on average about 20p per night, just because all my stuff is was left on standby. Think of the saving over years...brilliant Freebie!!Dont forget to click THANKS if I help you!!:j :j0 -
Don't know how I missed this one!
Have just applied, didn't think would get it, but you just tick whatever benefit you are on and put the number in.
Now to see how much it saves me. Add that to the £15 cheque I got today for being a dual fuel customer and this could be a good year.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Anyone finding they have a nice loud high pitched whistling noise coming from their energy monitors?
By the way - these aren't massively accurate, if you compare them to the actual reading from your electric meter the monitor shows a reading 1-2kWh higher than your real meter - they typically read about 100w usuage even when nothing at all is running, which is equal to a couple of kWh per day. Just to let you all know0 -
Thanks OP mine have just arrived, only took 2 weeks from applying, will get OH to set them up later.0
