Tes, ask your kids to go through the games and see whether they are scratched - eg stops the game paying or just have surface marks. Ive sold a few I inherited at about £3 each, all surface marked. . .You can sell anything and everything, do have a look ebay first to see what stuff is going for. Books go well ( greenmetropolis/amazon might be best for kids books) Some toys are heavy, so will be offputting with postage costs? So save them for a bootsale instead. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Thanks lynz you are a good friend. Am going to sort this ebay thing out. Have an account but have forgotten password and it wont let us on. When i try to start a new account it says that an account is already registered on our email address. aaarggghhh!!!!!!The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Easy! Just set up a new email address! (That's if Ebay won't send your password through to your existing address - they normally will if you press the 'forgotten password' button).
Ooooo - and write it down, if your memory is anything like mine!

Licking my wounds from the other thread. Its all getting a bit nasty. I was feeling positive too. Chatted to my daughter on trip to bank today, shes going to look for a part time job next term. Son sorted out a huge pile of games for me to sell on Ebay. I sorted out Paypal and my OHs old ebay account ready for selling. Got to organise photos next. Chatted to OH this evening. He still wants to go ahead with purchase of house, says we cannot possibly lose on it but he is willing to hold off on the work till we are in a better position. He is going to sort out sale of sailing dinghy at weekend. Dont know how much its worth as its the only one in the country. Feeling very down after being called a muppet and an idiot. Dont other people take out large mortgages on property. Total of debt + mortgage will only be £97,000 approx and once house done up debt will total £130,000 approx on a house worth £290 - £300k.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Hi tesuhoha
:grouphug: I had read your other thread and was quite shocked by that members comments. Don't let it worry you I was looking back at their past posts and he seems to enjoy being rude to members.
You always offer advice and kindness to others, don't let one small minded person get you down, were all in the same boat here, in debt, but doing our best to get out of it, which is something to be proud of.

I suffer from acid indigestion and I have medication to reduce it. It can be a problem when I bend over or work in a a cramped and confined position.
What I did find helpful was the Food Combining diet developed by Dr. Hay. Basically alkaline and acid producing foods are not mixed in the same meal - starch and protein are not combined.
I avoid fizzy drinks, very acid fruits like rhubarb or plums and try not to have too many tomatoes. I limit the amount of caffeine to 1 mug of coffee in the morning, occasionally a cup a lunchtime, but none later.
I was advised to lose weight, the jury is out on that one, but I did need to lose for other reasons'You can't change the past, you can only change the future' Gary Boulet.

That sounds like sensible advice. My husband does like coffee in the evening after dinner so that might be worth trying. Its quite difficult not to combine starch and protein but more possible at breakfast and lunch. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
