Thank you everyone, you are all lovely. My DH did see the doctor last year and was tested for an ulcer but it was negative. I've found him some herbal tablets that do seem to work. I might do as suggested to see if some money can be saved but i cant think of another thing. We have a boat to sell on ebay, a sailing dinghy, but that wont bring in very much as its been sitting on the drive neglected for the last 5 years. He bought it for leisurely weekends but we have only used it once on a camping trip about 4 years ago but I havent tried to sell it because its his boat and its up to him. However, once we move theres no room for it anyway. I could use some advice on selling stuff on ebay. My hubby knows how to do it and he says its easy but he never gets around to it.

Thank you for moving me by the way. I thought i was in the right place so its very kind of you. I feel a bit embarrassed because i never tell anyone about financial matters but i suppose its ok because we are all anonymous.

Most people on the boards are non judgemental and supportive. Most people mess up in some way in their life and know how uncomfortable that can feel.

    I've been Money Tipped!
hi would oh consder bening a pipe fitter my oh is a trained plumber but hasnt worked as a plumber for years more money in pipefitting companys like hayden young and aque are always lokking for pipe fitter on its on the cards

my oh get outallowance around 30 pounds a day and petrol money of 25p mile and usally works about an hour away from home so he usally gets a hundred pound petrol money withe oa pm he gets a hundred and 30 per week before he even picks up a pipe his hourly rate is 1100 per hour good for someone not self employed
most companys do a 45 hour a week so oh leaves about 6.00 in morring gets back about 6.00 in evening gets paid on avarge about 490.00 per week after tax so dosent need to do weekends which is usally there if wanted there no stress of beening your own boss
you get hoilday pay usally 2weeks christmas 8 days easter and 10 days to take when you want between may and octoberand paid bank hoiladays however the sick pay is done by an out side ompany which you have to be of three days before you get it and its not as much as your normal wage but better than nothing and is more than what you get if your self employed
you also get paid breaks and tool replaced so its not a bad job and can easly work your way up to forman where money is even better worth your oh given it a thought not many plumber realise that these jobs are out there and companys love plumbers doing it as the have abetter understanding about the drawings and the work they do but it is site work

definately sell stuff, if you havent before. Im not joking Ive had 250 from stuff laying about books/dvd/clothes etc. If you have kids theres BOUND to be stuff to can flog!

HAve a hunt around, andn find yourself a "corner" ( all boxes are too small!) and be ruthless. Remember we only wear a third of whats in our wardrobe. Having a pile of another mans treasure in the corner of the lounge will give hubby a visual sign of what youve been up to to try to bring more money in. The dinghy compare it to what others are going for on ebay & have a look over the web to see if there are any specialist camping/ sailing sites that it may fetch more on ( get a feel for the prices) - list it everywhere!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

That might be an option eventually but at the moment we are trapped into chasing high wages on subcontract due to our present outgoings. But thanks, something to think about.

Have to talk to OH about dinghy but hopefully he will take a few days off over Easter and we can sort it out then. Will see what else I can sell in the house. Son has hundreds of computer games, Playstation 1 & 2, that he no longer plays but he says most of them are scratched.
