When I rang last week I was told my modem was 7 years old and would not support the new 10mb speed. It runs at a max of 2mb. They are posting me a new modem for me to replace the old one and I have to ring them when I have done this to change the number on their screens. I got a feeling it will be picked up then so I will watch my bills with interest.

My 2mb Virginmedia broadband was upgraded to 10mb and I am still paying the same. Makes a difference when watching streaming video online.

However they upped the cost of phone calls, min call charge is now 13p+vat so if I know the call is going to be less than 2 minutes I am now cheaper using my Asda mobile. And yes I make a lot of short calls.
