Hi Guys,

I have had a Nokia 5800 but had a problems with it and my service provider changed it for me 3 times with no joy. Even this one had its own problems, this is all because I had bought refurbished mobile than the new one.
Now, My service provider is happy for me to provide either Nokia 5800 or N96 again only refurbished. So i am just wondering which one would be the best to go for.

I really liked the Nokia 5800, I liked its touch screen and other capabilities but loathed its camera while treasured its 1320mah battery.

I never used the N96 , so wondering would it be a good idea to go for N96 instead of 5800? the lady said she would call me on tuesday so i need to make up my mind by then.

any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

For now I am settled on 5800 but not firm enough to say that. Anybody using 5800 or N96 with their pros or cons would help me decide which is best for me.

What problems did you have with the 5800, baldude?

I don't have an N96, and I do have a 5800. I really like it. I would certainly pick it over the N96 any day, mostly because the 5800 feels more pocketable.

N96 if your anal on a camera.
    5800 for the rest.

N96 is big, plastic and just not as appealing on the eye/pocket as a 5800.

First time I found the phone to be switching off every 10-15 mins. Everytime i was wondering why i didnt receive any calla dn when i check i founc that to be turned off.
Second time the proximity sensor was not working and third and this time phones refuse to recognise the Sim card and memory card, which it barely recognised mins ago. it does says every 3 or 4 hours.
I spoke to my service provider who said that i was provided with a refurbished pieces rather than a Grade-A piece which means the customer returned in 14 days.....hence it makes sense why the pieces i had received were faulty.
As I said I quiet liked the Nokia 5800, but was looking at the good camera of N96....but when i looked at th battery N96 only had 950mah battery while 5800 has a 1320 mah......
As indicated by other messages above, I probably settle on Nokia 5800....

Thanks guys for your useful comments. I will now go for just Nokia 5800.
    thanks for all your inputs.

    regards,
    Baldude.
