I totally agree with Ormus. You have zero chance. Are you really considering painting everything in the property inside and out with the same paint?

As pointed out above, you won't get a decent finish with one coat.
But for a reasonably good paint at a decent price, i use the 15l trade paint from wickes.

One coat wouldn't look to bad if the walls are already light. White, cream, off white etc.

B & Q do big 10L tubs of it (and white for the ceilings) for around a tenner. I think I've seen good value tins in LIDL too.

    I've used the B & Q stuff and didn't have a problem with it.

as been said, do not use the same stuff for the outside of the house. use the proper masonary paint.
    sandtex or similar.

I bought 7.5 litres of Dulux Natural Hessian at Focus for £27.99. Not the cheapest but I am happy. I think a better colour than Magnolia.

Well, recently I bought a tub of white b&q value paint for about 3.99 - I think it was 2.5 litres, I bought it for ceilings. It was very watery though! I was also going to buy the magnolia from there too at the same time in the 10l tub for 10.99, but by chance on the end of an aisle they had crown magnolia for 10.49 I think (cheaper than the value stuff) so I bought that instead! I expected the crown stuff to be better and it was. I needed 2 coats on most of the house I was painting, and 3 coats on blue room and some dark red stripy wallpaper. I used 2 of the big tubs for a 2 bedroom new-build sized house.

As other posters have said, don't use this outside - I know homebase do their own outside paint quite cheap I expect B&Q etc do too.

As for Dulux hessian paint, someone posted that on hotukdeals today 10litre tub for about £16. http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/438794/10-litre-dulux-emulsion-in-calico-h/ it was at b&q
