When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D

Tuesday 7th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

Hello to everyone who posts here today

Hope no-one minds me starting the thread today, I woke up early. Anyhow, today I have/willl:
• Checked online banking
• Read yesterday’s forum
• Check on the weather
• Washing on 30 – quickwash, hopefully drying outside
• Move spare change to my sealed pot
• Catch up with friends on FB and email rather than texting
• Enter comps online
• Have a NSD
• Read more of my book
• Look at craft courses online
• Celebrate a bit of me time, Mum is off caring for Nan and hubby is off to the gym so I am looking forward to having the house to myself
• Watch confessions of a spendaholic (Mum bought the DVD)
• Make sandwiches and freeze them or freeze the bread and ham
• Check €millions result from last night
• Resist the urge to count my huge coke bottle which I am filling up (no, I must resist)
• Wait in all day for a delivery of breeze blocks to make planters (Mum is paying)
• Work on my 101 list
• Look for a cheap hotel in Liverpool for next month’s trip
* Need to work out a month's worth of meal plans (I have to lose weight and stick to ww)

Think that is about it…..have a great day everyone

Morning Candy and Lottebear and all who follow :j.

Thanks for starting the thread nice and early Candy.

House full of visitors later today, so making the most of the peace and quiet at the moment!

    Today I have / will:

    See to animals and plants

    HM meals, including for visitors

Small shop, buying only ingredients to go with things I already have, plus a newspaper (my weekly treat, also includes a TV magazine thingy for the whole week)

Make some raspberry muffins to use up yesterday's raspberries from the garden.

Post a couple of competition entries from magazine while I am out.

Rush around tidying up (in a minute)

Try not to get too frazzled trying to entertain 2 guests who don't know each other and have nothing whatsoever in common  However, only 1 is staying the night - OH's fishing friend phoned at 7.30 last night to say that he wouldn't be arriving to stay last night as arranged but would turn up this morning instead. Talk about leave it to the last minute to let us know

Better get on! Have a nice day everyone :hello:
