Happy Birthday to Bargain Rzl and little melissa.:bdaycake:
Don't know why font has gone bold!
Congratulations to moggins and hope everything goes well.
Have spent the last few days decorating and had a viewer for our house on Thursday evening and they want to come back tomorrow morning with a builder.
Not sure whether to be pleased or apprehensive
Going shopping soon with DH and trying not to spend much as the maintenence work on the chimney cost more than we thought and we have just bought new carpets (good bargain though).
I am hoping DH will not be working from home for most of this week as I have just found out Christy Towels have a sale on and have ordered £150 worth of bath towels and hand towels.
I have not gone mad - they only cost £43 and I got free delivery as well.
Not sure what to cook tonight - made huge quiche yesterday and DDs are getting fed up with home made coleslaw and potato salad.
Might offer them a choice of whether I make chicken lasagne, homity pie or a home made pizza tonight.
Hugs to everybody especially Halight and pennypincher and anyone else not very well."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon all
Sunny/cloudty/sunny/drizzle/sunny - that's what we have had weatherwise so far today.
Washing out on the line and hopefully will dry. Got all next week off from work :j but DH and I are going to clear out our garage. It's full to bursting with junk and stuff we really don't need any more, furniture wise. DH is good indoors with having a clear out but that flaming garage is the bane of my life. Hopefully if it's nice weather next weekend we can have a bootfair and get rid of alot that is just too good to throw out. Will freecycle after that. DS and his family are off on their holidays on Tuesday so we can borrow his landrover and fill it up more than we could our car for the bootfair.
Doing a roast tonight instead of tomorrow as we will pop up to London to the cemetery as its the first anniversary of mum passing away. My DGD was born 2 days before that happened. She is a little darling, just about walking with her doggy on wheels. This year has flown by. Bought some steak from Marks on their £10 meal deal so will fry that up for tomorrow's dinner with some egg and chips - mmmmm can taste it already.
Have a good day all xxxx0 -
Well, weather today is nothing but cloud & drizzle so BBQ is indoors. Have been to the gym today - first time this week
.
Sistercas - I'll definitely look out for repeats of the first two Torchwood series or a bargain dvd offer. I seem to miss out on a few good progs when they're on - only just found Lost a couple of months ago but have had a great time catching up on all four series on dvd, just waiting for season 5 now.....
Halight - hope you have a restful afternoon and your re-visit for your medical goes well.
Miss Melissa Bitsey & Bargain Rzl- Happy birthday!
Pen Pin - thinking of you, hope you're feeling better.
Right, time to empty DW and get WM going again.
Have a good evening all.

Afternoon all,
Bought a battery charger for my camera battery this am....€40 but I had tried to buy it on ebay and it was going to cost almost the same...still prefer to walk into a shop and get what I want handed to me, I really am oldfashioned!
Going to make a pizza for dinner, just realised the time so will use extra yeast in dough, OH will never know.
Ulick's heart is grand thanks, Aussie!
DGS1 is here for a while, he is trying to show me how to use his Wii...the optimism of an eight year old in infinite!
Meant to rain all day to-day and to-morrow, there was a little drizzle earlier but even that's gone now, put out washing earlier must keep an eye on it. Not very cold either, so am happy enough with weather. There is a festival or whatever it is called on at a racecourse about six miles away....we don't need to go as we can hear the 'music' clearly from here....god I am getting old!
NPM...glad to hear that the migraines are easing
Happy birthday RZL:bdaycake:and Melissa
Must go and make that dough or we will have no tea as I am not really in a humour to do much to-day.
Have a good afternoon all

We popped into the local town to have a look at the new car, and a b****y bus ran straight into the back of OH's van  he thinks its a right off, we were stopped at a junction. I have been at the hospital all afternoon and I have whiplash, its very painfull and I feel a bit sick
Poor OH is upset about the van, its his first car, and he has been driving less than a year, I feel so sorry for him.
Thanks for the photo Nelski, cheered me up no end xx0 -
Redruby....so sorry to hear about your accident....whiplash can be very sore and can last a long time if not looked after properly so take it easy....sorry about van too, know how one feels about first car....

Redruby How awful for you both! Take care of each other & take it easy for a few days, whiplash can be sore the day after ((hugs)) xx0
-
redruby How awful! Thank goodness you weren't even more hurt. Such a shame about the van, i don't wonder your OH is upset! Take things as gently as possible, hope you get better quickly ((((HUGS))))
Meanmarie - I know just what you mean, i prefer to go into a shop as well....sadly there now seem to be more and more things it's hard to find except on the internet!0 -
Redruby, sorry to hear that, hope you and DH are ok. You are far more important than the state of the van, it can be replaced, you can't!0
-
ooh redruby are you ok? (((hugs))) to you and your OH, I hope the pain eases soon xx0
