Well I think I might be on here under false pretences today, lol! Staying with oh this weekend, so no housework for me and probably no cooking - the joy of him being a chef and not liking to watch how I chop things up!
Ok lady, spill, is this a new OH ????? when did you meet him ? whats he like, we need details
Steph, congrats to your dd, and hope all goes well for her xx0 -
Miss Bitsy & Bargain Rzl :bdaycake:Happy Birthday!
Diva What a lovely way to start the day, thank you :A
Stef Hope all goes ok for your DD ((hug))
Halight Can you share the bread pudding recipe please? It sounds like just the thing to fill my boys up
Donnygal Pleased for your DS :T
Well I'm up alone so far which is lovely. 1st load of washing out on the line I'll put the next one out when it's finished. I'm making a chocolate yoghurt cake today from a link posted in the Grocery Challenge yesterday. I'll be using a cherry yoghurt as I have a big pot of whoopsied Onken and some morello cherries in the freezer for a filling - I'm coming over all 1970's food today :rotfl:
Dinner this evening is Mrs Macawbers tomato soup, sandwiches and apple crumble & custardNot much on apart from the usual stuff.
DS2 found out yesterday afternoon that he didn't get Head Boy but he's pleased for the lad who did. It was an achievement to be asked to interview and he'll get a letter to say as much to put in his record of achievement for college applications this time next year.
((hugs)) to anyone who needds one today xxx0 -
Coooooeeeeeeeee
Haven't been on much the last fortnight. It's been hard with DGS here. At 5am this morning he woke up calling Ninny I've wet the bed. So quick change and snuggled into ours. At 7am he christened ours. :rotfl: Luckily he was on DH's side. So it was a busy start to the morning as we had to leave at 8.30am.
DD bought herself a car today. We met up with her once we dropped DGS off. Private seller. DH gave it a thorough going over and gave her the thumbs up. Plans tomorrow is to veg out. I suppose I'll feel like a lost sheep for the first few days without DGS. I suppose I better think of tea. It's about that time.
Bargain Rzl Happy Birthday
Moggins Congratulations to you & your OH.
RubyGlad to hear that you're a big hit at the building site.
Stef Hope everything goes well with DD.
Marie Belated anniversary wishes. I hope you didn't put too much strain on Ulick's heart.
Hope you all have a great weekend. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

I feel like a fraud on this board, byt hey ho, I do enjoy reading about everyone else so much, and since I got round to signing up I don't want to just read and not write a reply!
Happy Birthday to Bargain Rzl and Bitsy Beans DD!
4 days off for me, woo hoo. Work was so manic yesterday I had to go and collect the kids then go back in for an hour with them to help my colleague finish the remand file. I'm sure the court will let at least one of them out this morning, but thats down to them.
Got free eye test at tesco at 12, so will be doing a quick shop as well. We're all still on pj's here, so need to get showered and dressed.
Need to do lots of housework, and may do some baking later.
Have a good day all.0 -
Morning all
Very overcast here today, but since my only plans are to carry on decluttering it doesn't matter much. German GP is on this weekend, so hubby will be glued to the TV.
Just been to tesco's & been overcharged, only by £1.10, but it's the money, not the principal, fortunately I noticed in time.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Good morning :hello:
Seems to be raining again  Perhaps it will brighten up later.
stefejb - (((HUGS))) - best wishes to your DD
Bitsy Beans - Hope you all have a lovely day!
NPM - Hope DS enjoys the museum x
Happy Birthday Bargain Rzl!
((((HUGS)))) Aussielass - I'm sure it will seem much too quiet without DGS
SunnyGirl - Hope your DS doesn't mind not being head Boy - as you say, it's great that he was in the running.
N9eav - What a shame about the mackerel! Hope your friend's son was ok once he was back on dry land.
Essex -girl - Hope DD had a lovely birthday.
redruby - Hope your BIL is feeling much better today.
Mioliere - I thought of you yesterday when I was in WH Smith and saw a book called "Living in Rural France"! I had a v quick skim through some of it and thought it v interesting. One thing it said was that you may find yourself unpopular at first because you accepted a drink from the "wrong" people (i.e. unpopular ones) the first time you were in the local bar. But how would you know they were the "wrong" peopleIt also said it was common for anyone entering the bar to go round and greet everyone who's already there. Do they do that where you live? I did pluck up courage to call out "Bonjour!" when we went into the local shops this time as one of our phrasebooks said that was considered good manners. (I didn't do it in E.Leclerc though
) There's a book coming out next month called "The Secret Life of France", written by a woman who was married to a Frenchman (now divorced), about the things the French do differently from us - I might just get the book, it sounds really interesting.
Got to do some decluttering and tidying today - it seems to be really hard to get things straight since coming back from holiday.
Dinner will probably be battered plaice from Lidl with oven chips, a nice easy meal today.
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
