what I do object to is hidden clauses that carry charges that people should be informed about up front

If what you are moaning about are "clauses", they must be part of the Ts & Cs, these may be in small print and be very long and boring - but they certainly are not hidden.

If by some means these clauses are actually hidden and cannot be seen, then the contract is not valid and you are not bound by them.

If Ts & Cs are changed the company has a legal duty to inform you to enable you to take whatever action you may think fit. If you can't be bothered to read these ................

In response to my post above I have received a PM from kippen noedel starting: "I see you and Jelly are friends".
I don't know who Jelly is, presumeably Kim Yeovil, but I am not friends with her.
If Mr noedel wishes to draw that conclusion from the fact that I pointed out that his complaint was not really justified, that is up to him.

Her OP was perhaps not the most diplomatic I've seen - but that is life. There are just too many posts on this site where any price differential is a "rip-of" or a "con" - and the complainant hasn't even bothered to do a bit of homework to discover for themselves why the prices are different.
I echo her comment entirely - where is the rip-off ? A Bentley costs more than a Ford - is that a rip off ?
If a BB supplier charges you to terminate, what is a rip off about that ? IT IS in the Ts & Cs, if you can be bothered to read them.

And, finally, if you wish to make comments about me, "my friends" or their views, have the common decency to do it in the open not behind their backs in a PM.

I find YOUR methods "obnoxious" !
