Seeing as this thread has been resurrected, I'll take this opportunity to say that after being made redundant from Matalan, my son now works at Morrisons on the roast chicken counter on a 25-hour contract. He started on checkouts last October. The job was only advertised in-store. So basically only local people would see it. And I personally don't see anything wrong with that.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Could you ask your son to feed the chickens a bit more before they get cooked please - last time I bought one it was more the size of a sparrow than a plump breasted chicken

A friend of mine has applied for a job at Morrisons as we have a new store opening here. When asked why she left her last job she had to put "Difficulties with manager" Is it likely that she will get an interview. I went round to visit her last week and she is adamant that she wants the job.
