Sounds great. Will definitely give it a try.

Was just thinking about breast of lamb the other day, when I was in the butchers. Haven't seen it around for ages, and they were queued out the door so I just bought the stuff I'd gone in for and left - no time to chat and muse on what else I could maybe get or try out another day !

    Thanks for sharing.

    Hi RichyRich,

That sounds lovely! I've added your recipe to the main thread on breast of lamb so that other Old Stylers will be able to find it easily.

Slowly ;) it's quite fatty so you need to allow the fat to drain away. We have an exisitng thread with lots of recipes, so I'll add this to give you more ideas :D

Glad to have found this thread as I bought some lamb breast today in Sainsbury, just over 750g for £3. Not quite sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but I'm leaning towards some sort of stuffing and then roasting it slowly. I've got dried apricots and apples lying around so could use those, or tinned pears. Any suggestions?

  • hi people im new to this site and was looking for the best way to cook my boneless rolled lamb breast.can anyone help?
  • Hi everyone, I have some lamb ribs in my freezer that I would like to cook.
There is not much meat on them so was hoping to use them in a lamb stew or something like that I can then cool to skim the fat. Would that work? or does anyone have any suggestions? (I was thinking of a irish type stew, that I usually do with neck chops, spuds carrots and barley)

This sounds like breast of lamb to me ;) We watched Ruth Mott (on the Victorian Kitchen and Garden) remove the bones with a tiny, but ferociously sharp knife, bread, and fry in dripping :D I buy mine boned and roll around a breadcrumb stuffing and cook long and slow. You're right - they can be very fatty.

As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the existing thread.

    Cheers!
