Hi.

Im moving to a new property this Tues/Weds. Of course i will need broadband. Problem is i'll be only in that property no more then 12month if that. So i do not want to be tied into a 12/18 month contract.

And yes i will not be getting a Landline as i do not need it. so that will play a big part. Most broadband providers require you to have BT Line... Which sucks imho.

Ideally 1-3 month/rolling contract or mobile brodband.

So, i need help/advise what will be best/value for money please.

Depends on location and usage, but have you considered mobile broadband? Possibly PAYG?

Probaly because fixed broadband is delivered down a phone line.
Apart from Virgin Media Broadband only if you live in cable area.

True that. Yea Virgin are the only other Broadband provider, but dont want to be tied into 12month contract as im not too sure how long i'll be in the property.

Mobile broadband is available. some of the prices are like omg, cant be that expensive.
PAYG i will consider.

£15/mo for 15Gb from 3. Could be a lot worse.

Look in to '3' mobile broadband, 15gb for £15, cheapest deal around at the moment. Go via dialaphone and get 9 months half price. Ive recently signed up to it after being with their payg without a problem

Handy thing is it goes with you, so your address/digs is irrelevant with it, so a contract isn't too much of an issue

Ah ok. Sweet. But it dowsdepend on post code area to recieve mobile broadband....

Right iv made my mind up. going PAYG mobile broadband.

Now which networf/provider has the best deals on atm.. And what are the prices like topping up. Of course it wont be alot. But its better then nothing.
