does anyone know if there are any providers who still offer short-term broadband contracts? by short term i mean between one month and six months and with no (or minimal) cancellation charges.
i know bulldog were offering one month contracts as recently as december, but now even they are at 12 months. i am new to the broadband market, and have no interest in being tied in for 12 months...
any help/advice gratefully received!

But they charge £50. Quote from Virgin site.
"If you ordered Virgin.net Broadband on or after 7th June 2005 and you wish to leave, you'll need to give us 30 days notice of your cancellation. In addition, while we don't tie you into a 12 month contact (unlike most broadband providers), we do reserve the right to apply a £50 cancellation charge if your service is cancelled within 12 months of activation. Unfortunately, this charge is necessary due to the cost of activating your broadband service."Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Hi
Nidram & f2s offer 1mth contracts, if you already have a broadband connection and migrate in.
Hope this helps0 -
If you sign up with Virgin through egg money card they give you £50 instant cashback so you can just give it back to virgin when you want to leave ?!?0
