in Water bills
Ever thought that every time you flush the loo you are using up ' drinking water ' ???? ( i.e the GOOD ) only to wash away half a cup of piddle ( i.e. the BAD ) ????
well I did - whats more with 5 people in the house 5 trips to the loo 7 days a week thats aprox 350 gallons......... but no wait its 350 gallons x the cost per litre drinking water PLUS 350 gallons x the cost per litre for sewage water......
I have cut my water bill by nearly 200 quid by collecting rain water in a large tank and using a 12volt water pump and float switch to fill the cistern so each time my kids flush Anglian water arent taking the !!!! metaphorically only literally......
Oh yeh the first fill in a washing machine with rain water saves electricity, soap powder, water and reduces limescale........ so thats another 2 gallons saved per wash........
parts list and instructions available to any interested reader
