Vodafone Mobile BB - Pac code?

Hi,
I'm just curious to know if you can request a pac code for your mobile broadband?
As far as I'm aware, mobile broadband sims just work like normal mobile phone sim cards, so I was wondering if it's possible to port the number out and onto a normal mobile phone contract with o2 for example?
Thanks for any help!

It may be possible but why do you need the same number?0

It's pretty much a gold number so I'd like to use it0

Hi MRC,
You can certainly request a PAC for your Mobile Broadband subscription and it would be treated as a request on a conventional mobile phone number.
Can I ask why your considering transfering it?
If there's something account specific you'd like to discuss privately then you can email your details using the 'Contact us' form on the Vodafone.
When sending your email you'll just need to state 'FAO Web Relations' in the subject bar and within the body of the email include the URL for this thread together with the code FIT135.
Once we've received it we'll get back to you as quickly as we can.
Thanks,
Lee

I have sorted it out now, have the PAC and transferring now.
There was no reason, I didn't need the prepay broadband now and liked the number so moved it over to my Orange contract.

That's great MRC.
Thanks for letting me know.
All the best.

Five days after getting the pac code and giving it Orange, Vodafone now claim that it is not possible to port out from mobile broadband and have canceled my porting and will not let me take the number away from Vodafone.
Vodafone porting team (lol...yeah), claim that the port had gone through several times when I and Orange contacted them. Quite litterally it hadnt because I had split service and then they decide I can't do it!0 -
Hi Lee,
I bought one of the Vodafone PAYG sticks yesterdays and have tried it in so far 4 seperate locations in and around Bristol city centre and haven't got a connection yet.. Can I return it? Am I not using it correctly?
Any help would be great.
Cheers,
