Sometimes I wish there was a button where you can thank a post twice. Mrs C just asked what I was smiling at.

(told her I was watching !!!!!! - less embarrassing that admitting you're on a forum).

Ah well, glad I made you feel better.;)

For me personally you can keep the holiday if its a choice :rotfl:

I've always liked the sound of Mrs C.

As a matter of fact, size really doesn't matter. And indeed if it's too big it can actually stop you finishing.

(particularly if you're using the cryptic clues).

I don't know what sort of journalism you read, but in my world journalism is about reporting facts.

Publishers, on the other hand, might come up with poorly written sensationalism supported by carefully selected 'expert' speculation (usually drafted by the fund managers' PR team to get their heroes into the press) to sell their crappy magazine.

What on earth are you talking about? It's journalists who tend to come up with poorly written sensationalism, etc., and they are employed by publishers. Publishers do not generally write articles themselves.

Thanks for bringing us back to .... well not really sure where .... but away from Cleaver's personal credentials! He 'raised' some interesting questions, but I decided not to ask them. ;)
  • Having read all the posts and just read the article, there hasnt been one solid dispute of the 5 points raised.

No point saying its a load of rubish without backing up your claim.

I for one think you cant dispute the reasons given.

Those five points have been discussed Ad Infinitum on here people defending and refuting. e.g. some believe that rising interest rates will do no more than shrink banks margins for new borrowers and return other borrowers to where they were in the past, time will tell. The points basically run through most of the threads on this board.
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher

They run, because they cannot be disputed.

We don't have discussions about an oil slick creating house price falls because it can easily be disputed :)
