I'm thinking that the Bentley's owner can't be completely boracic, or she'd have been long gone!

    Maybe the Bentley is hers?

    Just a thought...........

    I couldn't see a golden labrador and/or a white stick?;)

    Maybe he's her dad?
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Yes because the only reason any woman is with a rich man (who, naturally, is probably not rich but up to his eyeballs in debt and on the verge of bankruptcy) is becasue he's loaded, right?

    !!!!!!.

I know a genuinely wealthy couple, seven figure sum house, lovely cars and they sell stuff on ebay all the time and do car boot sales. They own a lot of stuff!

Why should they throw it out because they have money? You have to look after your money to keep it!

In my experience self made wealthy people are a lot more careful with money than most.

They didn't get rich by accident.

It was certainly an eye-catching sight - a £150,000 Bentley piled high with clothes at a car boot sale.

And after the Mail featured the story yesterday, a couple have come forward to say that they own the luxury car.

Karen and Lawrence Margiotta said that being thrifty where they can means they are able to splash out on the things they love.

'We're certainly not rich,' said Mrs Margiotta. 'Lawrence just loves cars. We used to have a Rolls-Royce and we went to car boots in that.'

The pair run their own hairdressing salon - Lawrence Hairdressing in Hendon, North London - and live in a modest £300,000 flat in Edgware.

At the car boot sale in Edgware which was pictured in yesterday's Mail, they sold off a silver-plated tray, a pair of candlesticks and some designer shirts.

The couple made £260, which they plan to spend on a slap-up meal out in London.
'We're going to have lunch at Le Gavroche,' said 63-year-old Mr Margiotta. 'In fact, with the money we made yesterday we can afford to go twice. It's just like getting free money.'

The couple, who go to car boot sales every four to six months, added that the popularity of the events has shot up since the start of the recession.

'We've been going to car boot sales for years, but it's even more important to make a bit of extra money now,' said Mr Margiotta. 'But we're lucky because we're still doing OK and the business is fine.'

    Precisely as I said.

The other thing to know is that just because someone has a Bentley doesn't necessarily mean they're some multi millionaire. A lot of owners are obviously pretty successful financially but otherwise completely normal people going about pretty normal lives. Just with a lot more spending power and an appreciation of nice automobiles.

    Good for them I say.

A pretty sad indictment on the British psyche and politics of envy that so many were so quick to declare them "up to their neck in debt", and that just such a slant on a story sells newspapers to sad losers desperate to wallow in others perceived misfortune, irrespective of whether there is any truth behind it or not.

    Strange old world.

So ironically my earlier post (which was actually a slight tongue in cheek dig at the pessimists amoungst us) was actually right on the nail.
