The Bentley people are probably debt rich, cash poor. Hit the plastic to the hilt.
When I was a kid out with my father and later if we saw a Roller or similar he always used to say they've either got a lot or they owe a lot..... How trueI came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0 -

What a bizarre conclusion to draw!
Based on what, that they've got a Bentley?
Good to see that the politics of envy are alive and well on MSE.
"Oooh they've got a much more expensive car than me, but I bet they're up to their neck in debt though. Now I feel better about my lot".

Loving this classic Daily Mailism! :rotfl:They had probably cut down on champagne. Then let the gardener go
Based on what!? Based on nothing but the fact that it will titalate the bitter and twisted element of their readership.
Utterly pathetic "journalism". :rolleyes:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
In fact the more I think about it the more I doubt they're "up to their neck in debt". I know a few people with Bentleys, and no one has one as their only car.
Almost certainly these people will have something more modest to run about in as well so why not use that (as they almost certainly would have done if they were embarrassingly "on their uppers" as so many seem to fervently wish).
Chances are they were having a good clear out, had a lot of very expensive hardly worn stuff that was worth good money second-hand, and decided they'd take the Bentley instead to make a bit of a splash and attract people to them and their pitch. Good thinking, it clearly worked.
The other thing to know is that just because someone has a Bentley doesn't necessarily mean they're some multi millionaire. A lot of owners are obviously pretty successful financially but otherwise completely normal people going about pretty normal lives. Just with a lot more spending power and an appreciation of nice automobiles.
Good for them I say.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

The newspaper want to know who they are as they are intrigued by it. How many Bentleys will you see at car boot sales in your lifetime?? Me not many as I have only ever been to one c b s. That was enough. I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0 -
Was the blonde for sale;)
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

Yes exactly. You've jumped immediately to the conclusion that they're "probably" stuffed with debt and got no cash.
"The Bentley people are probably debt rich, cash poor. Hit the plastic to the hilt"
Why? Because they have a very expensive car?

I'm thinking that the Bentley's owner can't be completely boracic, or she'd have been long gone!0 -
I know a genuinely wealthy couple, seven figure sum house, lovely cars and they sell stuff on ebay all the time and do car boot sales.
They own a lot of stuff!
Why should they throw it out because they have money? You have to look after your money to keep it!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
