LOL I initially read that as cowboy versus sausages....I presume it means vegetable/vegetarian :o.
Thanks for making me smile :).

Hurrah  Can't remember the last time I was on the front page :D
    Here's what we're having:

Sunday – HM chicken liver pate, HM sourdough bread, salad, fruit; chicken and vegetable pie, HG herby new potatoes, HG peas and carrots

Monday – HG summer vegetable risotto

    Tuesday – spaghetti bolognaise

Wednesday – Yorkshire Show day, so lots of lovely food from there :T

Thursday – out to a meeting – DH will make his speciality pasta for him and the children

    Friday – HM pizza

Saturday – salmon and Welsh goat’s cheese en crout
I think most of the chilfren are off by next week or already broken up, so mealplans may be a little harder than usual. We will try though:D

DD broke up 4 weeks ago after GCSEs :j DS finishes on Friday :j I like it when they're off; I can feed them good things all day, and make sure they get plenty of fruit and vegetables, and they have milk or a yoghurt smoothie for breakfast :D They tend to get up late, so I cook a mid-morning brunch for them - something baked (muffins, Welsh cakes, pancakes) and/or something cooked (omelette, Frech toast, full breakfast, sausage or bacon sandwich) and someting fruits (fresh fruit or a smoothie).

Funnily enough I was thinking about lunches for the holidays today & trying to come up with things that were healthy (ish), tasty, filling & not too expensive. I hadn't thought of french toast so I'm glad you posted. I've come up with the usual sandwiches, soups, crusty bread & cheese, pate & toast, pancakes, beans/egg on toast and pasta & cheese but am glad to welcome to any other suggestions :D

All four of them tend to be up early - 7am at the latest - so eat breakfast, lunch & dinner plus snacks, especially DS1 & DS2. DH is on short time at the moment so I'm trying to keep an eye on the budget too

I also keep meaning to say I love your signature Penelope Penguin!

We have one more week of school and then ... oh, holiday club (I hope - it's not finalised yet, because our regular one has shut own). Our family holiday is 3 weeks away. I have skipped this week with the veg box and bread order in order to use up my supplies.

Sat: beetroot & goats cheese in some form for grown ups, veg sausages from freezer for children, new potatoes for everyone, peas or sweetcorn for children
Sun: roast duck, noodles, stir-fry veg (DD can have the noodles & veg with some omelette)
Mon: lentil soup & hm cheese scones
Tues: corn fritters with spicy tomato sauce, the rest of the new potatoes
Wed: roast lamb in gravy from freezer, bubble & squeak (DD can have bubble & squeak)
Thurs: spaghetti carbonara with bacon served separately so DD can eat it
Fri: either a takeaway or fish/fish fingers, chips and beans
    Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600
    Overpayments to date: £3000
    June grocery challenge: 400/600
