Car rolled back into mine while queuing in traffic

two morals here...........dont pull up too close and dont listen to that "lets just sort it out between us" rubbish!

We had our car repaired and paid the cost ourselves - £262.

I contacted our insurance company and stated I did not want this to be dealt with as a claim against my policy. They advised me to send in the invoice and they would forward it to the third party's insurance company for settlement. That was back in May.

I have had to keep phoning my insurance company to check the position. Each time they have phoned the third party insurers, who have not been in a position to respond.

I last rang on Monday and they have now been told by the third party insurers that the third party has stated she did not roll back as her handbrake was on and she is not making a claim as there was no damage to her car.

The person I spoke to said it would be my word against hers, which brings me back to square one! I said this obviously happens all the time, she said "no it doesn't actually, she's chosen to lie for some reason".

She will now ask their legal department to decide whether or not to pursue.
