Fitness/workout DVD

Hi all
My youngest is now two and half and I still haven't lost the baby weight, not sure what's happened as it dropped off quite quickly with my older two
I can't really find time to go to the gym or classes so I need some recommendations of fitness DVD's that I can get a good routine going with. Preferably something really simple and effective for a complete novice, and maybe something the kids could join in with too? everyone keeps telling me about the wii fit but can't really stretch to that at the moment.
Thanks.

I have started to use the WOW Vicki Entwistle one (Janice Battersby from Corrie) and it really gets your heart pumping and makes you very sweaty! It doesn't take too much coordination as well which is good as I don't have any!True MSE'r -Money Spending Expert

A Wii fot is great if your budget will allow it. But in comparison a Wi and Wi fot probably works out cheaper than some gym memberships over a year.
Plus it keeps track of your progress and doesnt get repetitive, it builds a routine around what you want to achieve. And it doesnt feel like fitness most of the time as its also great fun that everyone can take part in.
I can imagine a fitness DVd will get boring after a shirt while.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Have to say Tae Bo with Billy Blanks works for me! You can take it gently or as intense as you want and the set is an absolute steal for under £8 at the moment. It can be fun (and exhausting) and the children could easily join in and bounce around like he does! Certainly a good one for burning the fat away:

An even cheaper bargain at under £4 - and much gentler to work out with - is the 10 Minute Solutions DVD. As it says, if you are short on time, you can split it into ten minute chunks:

I like to use them both over the course of a week, and have to say I like doing the short chunks at any time of day!0 -
I have some of the 10 minute solutions DVDs if you're interested. I've kept them in the hope of using them again but I think it's highly unlikely

Not very moneysaving (well a little bit as its cheaper than the gym), but what I did when my daughter was 8 weeks old, was buy a reasonable cross trainer off the internet. I go on it every night for half an hour once she's in bed (I'm now back at work full time) and I weigh about 10lbs less than I did when I found out I was pregnant!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

i also love Tae Bo and have recently bought the dvd that Claire from steps has done (it was 7.99 in argos), its really hard but you dont have to do all 5 sections0

Morning all - if money is tight but you have FreeSat (or Freeview I think it's on there too) then check out the Body in Balance channel which is 275 on Sky. It's got all sorts of workouts throughout the day including the NYC Ballet mentioned on the other thread lostinrates has mentioned, but also has lots of Yoga, Pilates (both great for core strenght and fitness) and some Caribbean Workouts too. Each programme lasts around half an hour and is a great free option if you already have access to the channel? I've started to use it more than the DVD's I have (of which I'll second the Davina Power of 3 as being fab!)

Prior to my most recent baby (Haven't got back on the wagon yet) I really enjoyed the ministry of sound pump it up DVD, although I always stopped before the hard section lol... Also have a Davina McCall 30min workout DVD which are really good for quick workouts... Give it another couple of weeks and I might dust them off again...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

What a great tip! I've just checked the channel list on my freeview and I don't have it,
but for anyone who does I think this is the best tip so far! I've often wondered why ther ISN'T a workout channel, which would surely attract a lot of health and beauty advertisers. 0
