I asked one out of curiosity if was undated on both side, and asked if they could post the answer on the listing as I couldn't get to my email, they replied via email and simply said "read the listing".

This person had a 150+ positive feedback and you wonder what they are thinking risking their feedback when they list these items deliberately duping people, just to make a couple of quid. Iit was on 99p with a day to go so looks like people were not falling for it.
  • dates on both sites or not, you have to wonder about the logic of anyone willing to part with £130 for a 20p piece, no?

I certainly wouldn't pay more than 20p for a 20p coin, simply because its got a design flaw, ;)

I've just done a search on eBay for 20p, just out of curiosity. Supposedly genuine undated 20p coins (those that claim to be undated on both sides) seem to be going for between £80 & £100, but I see that a couple of sellers are after £10000 & £18000!!!

There's also another example of a scam - see link below. One seller is sending an empty ripped envelope, and when they buyer complaints they claim that the GPO has stolen it! A hell of a lot of people have left feedback about this. eBay don't seem to be in any hurry to put a stop, but this doesn't surprise me one iota.

As this is the Money Saving Forums, when those undated (or even 'undated') 20p coins start selling for 19p with free postage, I'll take a look... :D
